Elvaston Castle Park and Gardens, Elvaston
Information on the plans for a road/car park/visitor centre at Elvaston, which will destroy parkland, trees, paths, public open space, wildflower meadows – in other words, the very reasons that people go to the park.
17th July 2019 – Elvaston Castle public park and gardens – a new Master Plan is expected shortly – details soon on new page. The plans involve a new road into the park (poss. on the gallop) which will increase traffic and pollution on the A6 and bring pollution, noise, congestion into the park. 2/ destruction of public open space, replacing it with a car park.
