Across the world, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic populations suffer the worst effects of air pollution and climate change (now an emergency)
In Derby we live in the most populous, over-crowded, deprived and polluted wards of the city, suffering the worst health statistics, high disability, pollution, deprivation, low birth weights, highest rates of lung and other cancers.
In polluted Osmaston, Sinfin, which already contains over 20 Rolls-Royce stacks, now stands the Derby/Derbyshire incinerator stack, mercifully still closed. Derby city council and Derbyshire county council are still trying to find backers to re-open it, despite knowing the health and climate effects.
